Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline today (26th July ) announced a new expansion from Ireland West Airport Knock by introducing a new 4 times weekly service to Manchester. The new service will commence on the 30th October 2011 and will operate year round.
Flybe are Europe’s largest regional airline and also the UK’s Number One domestic carrier. They operate over 215 routes from a total of 73 departure points.
This new development is a major boost for the airport as it maintains essential connectivity between the West of Ireland and Manchester, a route which has been in place for the past ten years with bmibaby.
This new service also opens up access to some major International routes on the Flybe network with passengers now able to book onward flights to Europes biggest international hubs such as Paris which will now be easily bookable through Manchester from Ireland West Knock.
Mike Rutter, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer, commented: “Following the introduction last year of our first ever service between Ireland West Knock and Edinburgh, we are now pleased to offer travellers to and from Ireland West even more choice with this additional new route direct into Manchester. Flybe’s announcement means that Flybe now offers passengers a choice of 14 services per week to and from Ireland West Knock to and from Edinburgh and Manchester operated by the airline’s state-of-the-art 78-seat, 2x2 seat configured Q400 aircraft that appeals to those who wish to fly with confidence with Europe’s leading regional airline and the world’s Number One Independent Regional Operator.”

Starting October 30th 2011, flights from Ireland West Airport Knock to Manchester will depart on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays with fares on sale now starting from as little as €29.99 one way including taxes and charges*.
