Bus Eireann commences new services to Ireland West Airport Knock on Achill-Westport-Castlebar Route 440

Ireland West Airport Knock are delighted to announce the introduction of new daily bus services to and from Ireland West Airport Knock with Bus Eireann on the Dooagh-Westport-Castlebar route 440.
The new services will operate twice daily connecting all towns and villages on the route and Ireland West Airport Knock calling at Dooagh, Keel, Dugort, Dooniver, Bunnacurry, Cashel, Dooega, Achill Sound, Belfarsad, Currane, Mulrany, Newport, Westport, Castlebar, Ballyvary, Swinford and Charlestown.

These new services will be a welcome boost to people in the Mayo region and will provide essential access between these towns and villages and Ireland West Airport Knock.
Commenting on this news, Joe Gilmore, Managing Director, Ireland West Airport Knock said: “We are delighted to welcome the introduction of these new bus services with Bus Eireann.  This is a further boost to people in Mayo wishing to travel to and from the Airport and follows the success of the recently introduced new services on Route 64, Galway-Sligo-Derry route which have been in place since late February and are proving hugely popular. 

These new services will offer great flexibility for passengers travelling on the 20+ destinations to the UK and Europe offered by the airport and will be the bridge for people travelling to and from the UK on our 9 routes from Birmingham, Bristol, East-Midlands, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds – Bradford, London Stansted, London Luton and London Gatwick and will offer great connectivity to the West and North West regions.  We thank Bus Eireann for their commitment to the airport and look forward to working with them to ensure the new services prove to be a huge success and hope that this will lead to further services being introduced particularly connecting towns and villages in the Midlands region of the country with the Airport’
